Oh yes, we did. Our backyard was full of family, kids, dogs…it was chaos. And it was wonderful.
One of Kayla’s co-workers had Subway sandwich trays delivered to our house. Someone anonymously dropped off sweet corn. We ate, we drank, we laughed.
I read Little Critter books to my new 4-year-old friend, Jack. Pure bliss.
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, regardless of what stage of cancer Kayla faces, we will face it with our family, friends, and the love and support of our community.
We are blessed.
God has shown His love for us through our friends and family.
What a great way to spend the evening. I’ve got you all in my thoughts today.
