New stage of life

Hey there!  It’s been a while!  Things have been really busy and exciting in our lives lately!  Our youngest daughter got married this past weekend!!

Our family is so happy!  The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a lot of fun! We are extremely blessed!

Although Kayla has been out of the house for a few years, and she and Riley have already been building their life together, it definitely feels officially like an empty nest now that both of our girls are adults and building their own lives.  As parents, that’s definitely the ultimate goal:  to teach your children how to be independent and hope that you’ve done well enough that they’ll be happy, well rounded, productive and responsible citizens.  David and I both feel like we’ve done a good job and we are incredibly proud of both of our daughters and we love the men that they have chosen as their husbands.

So now what?  David and I feel like we have moved on to the next phase of our life, but we’re not quite sure what that is yet.  At some point, we’ll be grandparents, but for now, we feel like we should set out on new adventures.

We’re off to a great start, I think.  Now that David is on board with the new diet and exercise program, his health has improved dramatically.  His blood pressure is normal and that hasn’t happened in years.  We had to buy him a new suit for Kayla’s wedding because he has lost so much weight in the last 6 weeks.  The shoulder weakness that he has had since a surgery over a year ago has improved significantly and we recently had to purchase heavier dumbbells because both of us have gotten stronger.

I absolutely love being a Beachbody coach and have really enjoyed helping others along their wellness journeys!  If I could do career choices over again, I would have chosen something related to fitness and nutrition.  I think I missed my calling somewhere along the way.  Dang it!

It would be so easy for me to just tell myself it’s too late to do anything new at this point in my life, but I don’t believe that’s true at all!  It’s never too late to start a new adventure or new path!  I’m leaving the doors open to anything!  I’m so excited about the possibilities!

May your glass always be full,
